that would be an interesting fight. At first i would hnave to be convinced that it would actually hurt me. Aned then it would know everything i do, so it would be a realy tough fight. itd be like on a fighting game, everyone hates fighting the guyt they are, since the computer knows how to counter things and use your favorite moves against you

The idea is interesting, especially Amir's ability to counter and overcome his shadow self.

I like that! Oh, and Amir, that made me think. But the shadow fight with Amir is only one of many scenes to blow my mind. Stanek was sort of the first person to really do a fantasy book that could make you laugh and cry and jump around with excitement (or is that just me?). Not like some books out today.

Not just you--not by a long shot. I could see it in my mind, even though Amir wasn't one of my favorite characters I was there with him through it. Noman was so interesting too. I wanted to go back in time to when Ky'el was there.

The opening sequence where Amir has the orb and appears in the mountains blew me away. Totally loved how RS always ties the beginning of a sequence to the end (and it's more noticeable when you read the Kingdoms books and then the Dragons books).

Hi kd and tinmo glad to see you on the boards! Any favorite? The illustrated KE has my favorite cover but I also like the Kingdoms #2 and Dragons #4 covers. Kingdoms #2 has the wolmerrelle. Dragons #4 has Noman.
