Eldrick is in Service of Dragons #4 or at least a shadow of him! I didn't catch it the first time, but I caught it the second read.

Has anyone ever studied Eldrick's song? It is very interesting how it hints at a whole race of tree spirits "the brothers of the forest".
From his reaction to Eldrick when they first meet Seth seems to have some knowledge of "tree spirits". His song talks about a great deed done by the tree spirits. Maybe they are one of the lost races of ruin mist?

How interesting I never thought about it in that way before. I haven't seen reference to tree spirits in the ruin mist denizens or peoples/places, but it does say "only a list of those most frequently encountered"

So true about the brother of the forest and the idea of tree spirits. They seem like a fair race like maybe fair like elves but different too. I'd have to think about it more.

Honestly didn't read the song but once. I tend to skip these. I had no idea there was subtext to it. In the service of dragons book 1, right?

One of the types of tree spirits is "alder"? Maybe it is a clue?
