What I like best about Ruin Mist is how expansive it is and how much is explored in the books. A lot of times authors make you wait forever to explore far off parts of the world but that's not true with RS. He lets readers explore vast areas of Ruin Mist as the books progress.

A big world with lots of interesting places to visit and go to.

I've always wondered if it should be called a multiverse rather than a world. The way RS describes it: "three realms" leads me to believe it is three separate worlds. It is over earth, under earth as well as the kingdoms and the reaches and you get to over earth and under earth via magic gates.

It is a multiverse, not a world. It's multiple worlds accessed through gates. How is it not a multiverse?

I'd agree but... is it three separate worlds?

I think that they are connected, but the laws in every one are very different. You saw that dreams are much more important in Under-Earth.

I agree completely the worlds are connected with very different rules and laws. Robert Stanek describes under earth as having bloodred skies and lacking stars, moon and sun. Vilmos's experiences there make it seem so very different from the world of the kingdoms.

Definitely and I love how it affected Vilmos on his travels.

Yes, but I felt pity for him, especially in KE 3 & 4. My heart was full with dread.

I didn't mean love literrally, I meant I enjoyed it. It was very interesting and very unique.
