Good to see you on the boards!! Kingdoms #4 is excellent - a favorite of mine too. Who are your favorite characters?

So many of my friends are reading too. I borrowed out my books almost all the time so much I had to get another set for me. I pick the whole Alder family as my faves. Calyin, Adrina and Delinna are good sisters.

The Alders are one of the most richly portrayed familes in fantasy. There's a strong bond between them. Even with Midori who tries to hide how much she cares.

Midori is misunderstood. Her motivations become clear later. Have you finished the dragon books? If so, you should know what I mean by that.

I finished the dragon books, all four. Midori had good reasons for her behavior and they made sense
Calyin is kind but distant, maybe since she lives in the snowy northlands

I too think Midori had good reasons for her behavior. What I don't get is why more readers can't see through her eyes. She's one of the more interesting charactrs. As far as Calyin, I don't know. I think she might have to convince Lord Serant that she is loyal to him and the kingdom.

Midori is complex and hard to get to know like many real people but once you know her when you go back and read again - wow!
