What Epic said! Stanek's goblins, elves, dragons and shapeshifters are indeed unique. They aren't just monsters or such. They are real. Erravane has to make a comeback. It doesn't get much better than an evil shapeshifting queen out to rule the world!

The wolmerrelle were interesting creatures and it made the early books so good. You couldn't help but want to like crouch and hide when they're after Vilmos and he's running to get away. Erravane was realistic and you know she has to be in more of the stories at some point.

Simply put Stanek's creature creations are tops, I love how he twists fantasy standards and comes up with fresh approaches. I love how he creates his own creatures from shapeshifters to troants and more. His approach on goblins and elves and dwarves makes them seem fresh and real.
