Yes, phisically and mentally exhausting. After all, it was a very sad movie.

Live action would be the best and Lucas would make it so incredibly good. It'd be a new empire!!

I've been thinking so much about Ruin Mist movies especially with all the character illustrations in the new books. Peter Jackson used to do monster movies I think. What if George A Romero made the Ruin Mist movies? Sure would give him cred like LotR did for Peter Jackson. I also think Ken Kwapis would do the movies right. Tamblyn is a natural fit for Adrina and Kwapis and Tamblyn have worked together before.

Romero too gory for ruin Mist IMO> Ruin Mist has some sense of innocense. I don't think that Romero can catch it.

Interesting take on Romero, but someone pointed out Peter Jackson started out with gore films. There's some news on ruinmistmovie.com AND a rumor it's Lucas Film but not George Lucas.

RMC remains one of my favorites! The writing was so wonderful I often felt that the story drew me in! Adrina is so life like, I felt like I knew her! Vilmos, Emel, Seth, too. The film has to capture all the friendships in the right way. The way courage and honor are important. The way it comes together is imporant too.

The characters make the story for me too, but also the world and its history. Good points about friendship, courage and honor. The movie definitely would have to capture this and the way the story comes together.

Many interesting characters to render. The cut scenes so far are amazing. Xith is my favorite, and I hope he comes out as real as gollum.

The books are splendid. I have to say that it started off slightly differently than I expeceted, but as you get through the books Stanek shows genius and artistry as he plots the story. And he has the ability to make you feel what the characters are feeling. I don't know if anyohe could capture it like it in a movie.

So guys I guess the film didn't make it in 2005? Or maybe it just hasn't been released yet over here? Any more news from anyone with the hotline to Robert Stanek?

ruinmistmovie.com was fun to wander through I have to go back again and see more of the realms but I hope theres an update on the movie soon. It would be good to know especially if they start casting or something. Is it a script written? I didn't see anything but it would be good too
