The rulebook is 14 pages!! Reading about king's mate in the books I never imagined there was so much to the game. going to try it.

Very cool game, surprising to see how much strategy. Someone should make it a computer game of it.

Too cool... I fully enjoyed his novels. Once I started, I couldn't stop. I found the use of multiple point of view characters a nice touch, I'd like to see more novel's brought to life as well as these ones were. Ruin Mist rocks the house!!!

The more I play King's Mate, the more I understand the strategy. It plays like chess but with different/more strategy required. Since all pieces can move backward or forward, and with the way swordmasters move, and with the way the raised squares are used.

My brothers play chess all the time... I LOVED reading about it when Vilmos and Edward played. Kept hoping for me but guess will have to wait.

king's mate is more fun to me, though chess is one of the best games to play.

Ruin Mist is the better defined world BUT Warcraft is a game so it might seem more real since you can play it. I would live inside Ruin Mist if I could.

Haven't read any of the warcraft novels yet. Have you? I'm not into slash so much, but I do like RS works. Epic sweeping action with good mystery to say the least.
