Stanek's imagination is wild. I mean the things he comes up with I'd never come up with and the way he writes scenes almost as if he painted them in with a brush. Vilmos's dreams are big reason I enjoyed the stories so much.

Not to bring this up again but what would be everyone's 'essential' list for RS. Obviously K+E and SoD but what about ML or PP or A+O? Or SJ? Can we come up with a list for teens and a list for adults? The reason I ask is it's for my lit 2 class.

Hi Epic, been so quiet around here. Seems everyone's waiting for Dawn of the Ages. My essential Robert Stanek list. Geez, touch question. Something like
Absolutes & Other Stories - solid short stories and everyone worthy of a movie (or two)
Stormjammers - incredible true life story and a riveting read (totally immersive)
Kingdoms and the Elves 1, 2, 3, 4 - still the best, incredibly good, grand adventures
In the Service of Dragons 1, 2, 3, 4 - favorite following, grand action and the best resolution in 30-40 years of reading
Encyclopedia of Ruin Mist - Don't see how anyone can be a fan and not read this one
Journey Beyond the Beyond - fun coming of age story, fast

Shirehobbit in case you hadn't noticed everyone's STILL waiting for Dawn of the ages. Wish it was out already.
