Ok, so now I've been reading Stanek for 5 - 6 years now. Originally came here to talk about LOTR and Tolkien. Back in 2003 that's when the LOTR movies and stuff was big. Stanek's books have grown on me with each new reading until now he is my #1 favorite author. I still think Tolkien is the best author, but Stanek is my favorite author. Coming from someone like me who is an enormous Tolkien fan that's the highest praise.

YES!! I've played in a few tournaments too. Massive strategy involved particularly when it coomes to the king and the swordmasters.

OK, here's what I think:
8 movies - Lots of fans want to see every book made into a separate movie. Like with Harry Potter it could be better this way. Every book has epic storylines and action aplenty. There's definitely enough to do it.
4 movies - I'd hate to see what gets left out if there were only four movies but let's face it that's one sure way to get the movies made. As a planned 4 movie arc this could be bigger than LOTR and certainly much much much better than Harry Potter.

The first movie would be phenominal with the shapeshifters and the battles and all the intrigue. I'd like to see it planned as a trilogy or quadrilogy. Maybe best as !4! three-hour movies with tons of action, very epic.

Adrina certainly wasn't ever worried about coinage. She was more worried about running away from her betrothed or helping the elves or such. There is some explanation of the watchman's ritual to mark the passing of hours, the tolls and such. There's the one where Adrina interrupts Emel as he walks the watch and how time was marked during the watch.

Gollem is tricksy I tell you and he would be a tough one to catch especially if it was like before Frodo got the ring from him.
I liked what Shire Hobbit said about Edward trying to redeem himself through Vilmos. I think he might have but I wish he hadnt of sacrificed himself. Vilmos might have made it away but i guess they would have tracked him then.

Truly, classics in every sense. I got so many of my friends into the books too so now we have a lot in common when we talk about favorite books and what not. It's killer waiting for the next one.

Thanks Sparhawk! Yeah, so far everyone here is very cool and mellow. I enjoy visiting here too for a change of pace from other places where some people are always at each other.
