Cool Sparhawk. Shirehobbit, I think all the RS fans are reading the Encyclopedia of Ruin Mist. Doubt I'm the first to say how impressed I was with it. Grimreaper, that'd be cool too.

Totally true!! Each book could be a season of tv and if so there'd be eight seasons minimum. That'd be amazing to see and RS could get more into the characters and events not necessarily seen but referenced like with more on Erravane and her secret doings and more on Jarom Tyr'anth and his secret doings.

Erravane was one of the best villains in the books, to start off she's a shapeshifter and not any old shapeshifter but the queen. She's ruthless and cunning enough to trick a prince and maybe even a king into doing her bidding. She's also powerful... Xith could have killed her instead he cast her back. Perhaps he couldnt have killed her or he wasn't allowed too?

Rulers of Right Knights of the Blood Wardens of the Word I hope so finally! The titles are interesting, makes for some guessing about what they'll be about. I'm hoping more about Vilmos, Seth, and Adrina, but it says Dawn of the ages, so maybe different characters like when they've grown up?

One of RSs short stories that hasn't been discussed yet is "August Rains." This is fairly short but like the others incredibly good. I was deeply moved and left with the picture of the old principal in my mind days after finishing. It was haunting in a way, sad, bittersweet, yet powerful. Brilliant.

According to one of the RS fan sites he wrote this like early in his career. I wondered about the second reading about the conflict between the brilliant boy genius and the scientist. I like how it echoed back on itself and got you wondering about everything.

I liked Silence loads, a twisty scifi story with decent action and like most Stanek stories one you gotta read more than once. I loved the subtext about the death of language and culture and how it related to our own world. Not enough people understand what's going on with this in our world and RS clearly does. I wish he'd've added a forward or something on this. Or would this be like an afterward or somethig?

I've enjoyed it too! Surprising how much more I learned about the world and the characters. I finally just decided to read it cover to cover.

Dear Mr. Stanek,
I haven't had any time to post on here for a long time but I'm still a huge fan of your books. I hope you will provide some news updates soon. Thank you for being such a great author. Your writing inspired me to write. I read your books about once of year and dream sometimes I'm in Ruin Mist. I hope they'll make a movie so the world and characters really come to life.
