RS has a particular knack for letting readers into the chaos of battle. His battle sceens are sweeping in scope and some of the best I've read, Tolkien included.

The end of Keeper Martin's Tale is sweeping and epic. RS remembers to tell the story of the battle through everyone's eyes. He doesn't avoid the battles either like writing about them tangentally like Tolkien often does. I agree with Shire Hobbit, better than Tolkien.

Yes, I liked seeing through others eyes and the way it unfolded. Especially with scenes like Seth and Galan switching off to different views.
