Yes it is one of R.S's best abilites. Most sequels end up worse than the one before that because the author relies on the name more than the story to sell the book. Thankfull the Ruin Mist books amazingly get better and better each time

Very true. The best ones so far are the latest ones, and the previous ones are darn good too.

Hi - I am new to the Ruin Mist books and so borrowed a couple from my local library. However I discovered (admittedly after only a quick look) that one of the books (Kingdoms & the elves of the Reaches) appears to be, word for word, the same as the first half of the other (Keeper Martin's tales). Is that so? If it is, can somebody explain the system with these books? I don't want to borrow the same book from the library time and time again!
Thanks for your help.

Cool beans! I read my eyes out. This is one of the best series of books I have had the pleasure of reading. It is entirely riveting and engaging, masterfully plotted, and the narration is fantastic. I cannot remember the last time I was so engrossed in a book and so caught up in the lives of the characters in the story. The author's ability to tell a real story with real consequences rather than feel-good fairy tales is both refreshing and utterly astonishing.

Cool beans - that's funny. I've enjoyed getting to know all the characters too, especially the main ones.
