i believe she is tied to the dragons now. she has their mark. she owes them. i can't wait to see what happens.

The mark does seem to tie her to the dragon but exactly how is what I wonder about. Though I don't see how she could have done otherwise. She had to save Valam so she did at a high cost to herself. Very selfless.

I have several theories about the mark. A theme in the stories seems to be rebirth and renewal like with the dark lord. It seems to me there is a passing on of the torch so to speak to Adrina.

I get it about rebirth, more like reincarnation to me or spirits who have power across time. Adrina has the mark but isn't Valam the one cursed?

I think it goes to the question of dragon king at the doors. One was death and one life. Who got which and why?

Adrina got the mark and it will change her on account of she now owes the dragon but with Vilmos everything is differnt. He might not have the wild magic in him or he might but not the same way. If he lost the magic tying him to the ancient isn't it same as death?

Hmm... don't know but a novel idea. I don't think any one else mentioned this. I hadn't thought about his loss of the wild magic.

My thought is he must become the most powerful mage in the ruinverse and he must defeat Sathar.

I think so, too. Maybe he is the only one who can stop the Dark Lord.

Interesting thoughts about the ancient magic in Vilmos and the meaning of the dragon mark for Adrina. I wonder if Vilmos can tap into the ancient magic, like to get more power. Also in thinking about the dragon king, were his gifts a curse or a blessing?
