In ke3 theres the king's mate board and rules now. Its very nice to have. You can use chess pieces to play if you make the raised squares but you cant use the board since they are different size.

Any members belong to the King's Mate Gamer's Society (http://ruinmist.tripod.com/index.html)? I was trying to see if still active, but haven't got a response.

I don't know. I haven't played in any of the tourneys. I've always wanted to rp in ruin mist though and I know gamers who do.

Some of the newer editions have expanded versions of the rules. In the new Keeper Martin, there are illustrations of the board and the pieces, very nicely done.

Haven't seen em yet but want to. The game plays like a chess/stratego combination. You have to think a lot too.

King's Mate is a really fun game to play. I still wonder how Robert Stanek invented it.

We play a lot of strategy games but king's mate is one of our favorites since its like chess on steriods. The advanced rules add some fun have you tried them?
