Hi Everybody,
I just wanted to write this email to pretty much everybody I know because I need your help. More accurately, the great TV show Arrested Development needs our help. The show is close to being cancelled, and I really don't want that to happen because it is my favorite show. So what I'm asking is this: Please watch Arrested Development, Sunday nights at 8:30 on Fox. Not only that, but I need you to tell everyone YOU know, just like I've been telling everybody I know to watch. I'm hoping to start a chain reaction where if each of you watches and tells your firends to watch and they tell their friends and they tell their....and so on and so on, it will cause a chain reaction that could save the show by creating tons of new viewers. Also, whenever you're in a situation where somebody in the room sneezes, don't say bless you. Say "Arrested Development Sundays on Fox". Even if you don't know the person and it's just somebody in front of you in the starbucks line, say it...my happiness depends on it. Also, whenever you use a public restroom from now on, if you could please write on the bathroom wall (assuming you can find empty space on the wall) "Arrested Development 8:30 Fox Sunday following the Simpsons", that would be much appreciated. I really want to save this show as it is my absolute favorite show on the air nowadays. Thank you. And I expect that pretty soon I'll have to do this same sort of thing to save THIS season's best show The Office. These shows are very similar in that the humor is a little different and less obvious and in your face than the average sitcom, which is why I think people haven't embraced them. It's a smarter show. Please don't let these shows die. Don't let them join great shows like Freaks and Geeks and Sports Night and Family Guy, which is thankfully returning after campaigns such as this one. Only 80 cents a day can sponsor Arrested Development so it has clean water to drink, a bed to sleep in, and a doctor to see when it's sick. Please. Please.
