I love to read fantasy and I have just learned about these series of books. I ordered the kingdoms & elves of the reaches, I haven't got it yet though, I didn't know that there were adult versions and young adult versions. What is the difference. I'm 24 years old, will I enjoy the kid version better than the adult and if I want to read both are they the same story or different. Please help me understand the two series so that i can decide which i want to read. Thank you very much. email me and let me know. b-henderson@charter.net

I like the K+E because they have the coolest covers, especially the orange cover editions. I think they are the same story except like with a lot of books these days there are separate adult and young adult sets.
Some people get confused about the books because there is also a dark path. The dark path is a re-telling of the story from another point of view. Like DVDs with alternate endings only this is the story with some alternate parts. Kind of cool I think but you have to be hard core to get into it. (There are a lot of hard core fans who hange out here so maybe they know better)

Keeper Martin's Tale and Kingdom Alliance ARE Kingdoms & the Elves of the Reaches 1, 2, 3 & 4. It's like Harry Potter in UK - with different editions.

There's like three or four editions of Golden Compass. Isn't there? I think one of them is meant for adults.
