Trancemist, when Eragon passed HP as popularity in your opinion?

I don't think Eragon surpassed HP, I was just saying Eragon beat it in the vote.

I am glad to see people actually defending R.S's book instead of bashing them.

Continued trashing of RS on sffworld doesn't surprise me the site was sponsored for several yeras by an Australian publisher and Meisha Merlin Publishing which are competitors to RP. You see that kind of thing more and more. What with the big publishers running sites like they are independent but owning them so they push content.
teenreads.com is another it comes to mind. Pretty much owned by HarperCollins which has the Eos SF&F imprint. Kids in my classes have had their votes and reviews of RS books blocked by the site.
sfbookcase.com that sparkhawk recommends is owned by a UK outfit. watchout for the corporate bias.
Hate to say it Shire Hobbit but wizard-city.com shturgal.com, hpintl and hpfanclub are commerical creations as well. Run by fans but bought and paid for just the same. You should remove all association with these sites from your board.

I didn't knew all of this. Still, sfbookcase booklist looks reasonable. I'm truly shocked however of the fact that the so-called fansites are so dependent.
