Amir's father, Ky'el, is a legendary warrior, the scene where he sucumbs is vivid and real. The history indicates he is the one who freed men and elves. This I believe makes titans both wise and strong, but the dragons of Ruin Mist seem to be cunning, intelligent, and powerful.

Can we get this discussion back on track? Titans are the orginal masters of Ruin Mist, but are they as great as giants? Are they as great as dragons? Where do the eaglelords fit into this?

A few more flashbacks would have been great. I would've liked to learn more about the ancient times.

Based on Amir and some of Ky'el, titans are surely supreme over all things except maybe the great dragons. Dragons and titans seem equals or of similar power.

I'm looking to new adventures - but going back to the past of ruin mist would be just as good. Brings up the whole "dawn of the ages" question.

The Deathly Hallows is out today as everyone probably knows. I think you'll find many Stanek fans are also Rowling fans. No few have gone from Potter to the Kingdoms in search of deeper storylines.

Edward may be gone but there were hints of his past and the past of others. Xith mentioned his failures before Vilmos. I hope more light will be shed on this.

In my thinking Edward clearly had a debt to repay, either this or he had a decision to make about Vilmos's fate.

I read more into Edward...I think there's a suggested past for him as Xith hints of failed attempts previous to Vilmos. If Edward is one of such failures, his heroic act of selflessness on behalf of Vilmos may have been to repay a debt he felt he owed.

Add dragonmen to the wish list! I doubt Eldrick is out of it. He has to come back in some form so surely there he'll be in one of the upcoming books.

Seems to be like the seasons for the tree spirits with each having a role. Seth's reaction to Eldrick as a tree spirit makes me thnk there's more to it. And if Eldrick isn't a tree spirit of old what is he? Or was he playing with Seth as he seems to have played with Valam?
