Well, I think that we should compare characters more carefully. For example: Harry vs Vilmos - tough one, both are young and powerful wizards. Still Harry seems more in control of his powers, and he is older and more experienced. He should win. Hermione vs Adrina - It should be Adrina. Hermione is clever and devious, but that's not very useful in hand to hand battle. Adrina is quite good with the blade, so she should win. Ron vs Emel - Emel clearly, Ron is not very powerful. Dumbledore vs Xith - Draw. Both are old and very, very powerful wizards, battle between them will be apocalypse now. Sirius vs Seth - Sirius is a good wizard, but Seth, as I have said, is a weapon master, he could kill almost everything. So it's Seth IMHO. And the last one... Lord Voldemort vs Sathar We haven't seen Sathar, so it is impossible to tell who is strongest, but Voldemort is pretty much invincible, he is immortal, after all. Remembering the nightmares of Vilmos in KE1 and of Harry in HP 5 it tells me that they both are Freddy Krueger-type bad guys, very hard to beat. So I think draw here again. So in general Ruin Mist characters seem stronger than HP ones, but not with much. It'll be interesting battle.

Seth could kill them all. He is a weapon master. Still, they would not fight 'cause they are all good guys.

Xith is a great character, my favourite from the KE books so far.

Well, I like all sorts of fantasy characters: classical good guys (like Harry Potter), old and powerful wizards (like Xith, Gandalf or Dumbledore), cynical adventurers (like Silk from "The Belgariad") and of course - villains! I don't think that there is something like the perfect character. It depends on the situation. For example, it is great when you care about a young main character with all sort of concerns, but it is also cool to read about the clever villain, causing this concerns. With what character I'd play it's a different story. I like heroes, who are funny. But above all, I prefer to be the Dungeon Master. Practically, I'm like Sathar - causing a LOT of mischief to the gamers.

Dear Mr. Stanek, I just received my present, an autographed copy of the deluxe edition of "Keeper Martin's Tale". I want to thank you, Mr. Stanek, this is one of the most hearth-warming gifts I have ever received in my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I want to wish you good health, all the best with your personal life and writing! "Ruin Mist" is one of the greatest fantasy tales, ever told, and a personal favourite. THANK YOU! EDIT: I told about this gift to my friend, who is a fantasy buff and a bookseller and he told me that your computer how-to books are extremely popular and well received. He told me to send you best greetings!

Dear Mr. Stanek,
first of all, I want to wish you a Happy and Successful New Year! Here in Bulgaria, our custom is to wish above all health, so I wish you to be healthy and happy, then I wish you write more wonderful best-sellers, which, I hope, will please many new fans. My questions are: - Can we expert more Ruin Mist series, prequels or sequels? - Can we expect a Ruin Mist movie? - Who is the most powerful magic-user in the "Ruin Mist Chronicles"?

I guess Misha. It is a Slavic name.

Depends. Slavic languages are similar, but different.

The Elven is Slavic. As a Bulgarian, I understand it without translation
