I don't think scifi does much fantasy right? Not much fantasy on tv period. I guess it's hard to create on film.

Maybe they need a fantasy channel or maybe RS needs to make the movies himself? He'd be the best one to make them right so they are great not just good.

Lots of talented people in Hollywood could make them, if they ever stopped making remakes of 20 year old movies.

Talk about 4 or 8 movies all you want but right now I'd give anything just to see ONE ruin mist movie. It'd be a billion times better than the twilight movie and probably make more too.

OK, here's what I think:
8 movies - Lots of fans want to see every book made into a separate movie. Like with Harry Potter it could be better this way. Every book has epic storylines and action aplenty. There's definitely enough to do it.
4 movies - I'd hate to see what gets left out if there were only four movies but let's face it that's one sure way to get the movies made. As a planned 4 movie arc this could be bigger than LOTR and certainly much much much better than Harry Potter.

WHAT I THINK!? THEY SHOULD MAKE THE MOVIES ALREADY! EVERYONE WANTS THEM! Everything out lately is stupid. I mean how many ridiculous Potter movies do we need? I'm so sick of HP and they're still pumping out HP movies. Twilight movie was mindnumbing too.

Stanek's The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches is Harry Potter meets Lord of the Rings. It's greatness is in the making of the wolrd and the characters, the human struggle, the realness, the freshness. On the big screen this would be as big as Harry Potter and Rings combined. It must be 8 movies. It must.

Why Gandolfthegray I do believe we've made a full convert of you. ;D I never thought I'd live to hear you say anything could be bigger than LOTR. ;D

4 solid movies would be choice. Base them on the RMC, follow the storylines, create the scenes, deliver the epic battles. That's how it has to be done. It'd take someone like a Peter Jackson to do it or more likely a Spielberg. Love to see it over and over. Saw LOTR 3 times at the movies and at least 8 times since
