I also think that "The Tamuli" is the best. Especially the final one, "The Hidden City".

Sparhawk thanks for posting more about David and Leigh Eddings. Do you have a list of all their books? That'd be interesting to see, especially like a preferred reading order for the books.

No problem...
"The Belgariad"
1 Pawn of Prophecy 2 Queen of Sorcery 3 Magician's Gambit 4 Castle of Wizardry 5 Enchanter End's Game
"The Malloreon"
1 Guardians of the West 2 King of the Murgos 3 Demon Lord of Karanda 4 Sorceress of Darshiva 5 The Seeress of Kell
"The Elenium"
1 The Diamond Throne 2 The Ruby Knight 3 The Sapphire Rose
"The Tamuli"
1 Domes of Fire 2 The Shining Ones 3 The Hidden City
Belgarath - the Sorcerer Polgara - the Sorceress The Rivan Codex The Redemption of Althalus High Hunt The Losers Regina's Song
"The Dreamers"
1 The Elder Gods 2 Book Two ( July 2004)
The Belgariad and the Malloreon are part of one series, The elenium and The tamuli - of other. Belgarath, Polgara and the Codex are prequels to the Belgariad, but you shouldn't read them before it, because of spoilers. The Redmption of Althalus is a stand-alone, "The Dreamers" is a brand new series. The other novels are stand-alone contemporary books.

Thank you Sparhawk... Really enjoyed the Belgariad when I read it years ago. I'm looking at adding the Elenium and Tamuli books to my library.

Good choice. "The Elenium" and "The Tamuli" are my favourite fantasy-books. Still, I haven't read Stanek:)

Looks like I missed out big time on the discussion. Ya know holidays and all that kind of stuff. I'm going to look for Belgarad. Garion sounds a lot like Vilmos in the KE stories. I like that about him.

Probably there are similarities. The great authors have much in common

BTW, the next book of the Dreamers is called "Treasured One". Sounds promising.

Cool! The topic works now! Well, "The Dreamers" series will finish this year with "The Younger Gods". Can't wait for it!
