In defense of Harry (yeah yeah yeah) I'll say the books are good for younger readers and lots of my friends got into them since they were so easy.
I know lot of people who bought like every book but never read them.
I myself had to buy several copies of the first two books because the pages kept falling out. I thought it was me but I hear from lot of people they had the same problem. So maybe the pages were made to fall out so you'd have to buy another book?

I like this idea about how the elves become a part of the world even though they disappear from the kingdoms. I wonder how much elf blood some kingdomers have. Plus it's ironic. Like kingdomers hate elves yet some may be part elvish.

Now that the encyclopedia is out there's even more history on the great races of the past and how the world evolved. There's more on each race and their stories.

I've seen pix of the dragon king and he was as amazing as I'd hoped. I love how Stanek's books have many villains rather than just one. He's created a whole universe with heroes and villains

I loved Pratchett and Snicket when I was younger. Now I'm mostly into f and sf but I've been reading lots of classics and non fiction lately. Assigned reading mostly.

Dear Mr. Stanek,
I've been reading your books for years now and still loving them! Any updates or anything for us long time fans? Hope so.

EVERY essential list has to have Keeper Martin's Guide to the Fantastic Beasts. Totally blew me away and I was like whoa dude this is amazing. I got three of my friends to start reading just because of it. The dragon spreads are the best.
