"Freaking Dejavu" loving that saying Grim. I wouldn't disagree with anything you've said. Lots of different things inspire and serve as sources for new ideas. Wouldn't be surprised to find Whedon's copy of Absolutes & Other Stories has dogears and highlights.

Movies from these stories would be incredibly good. I hope to see it.

Do I have it right... You mean the "four peoples" Yes the four peoples as talked about by Vilmos and his mother.

If I had to pick a favorite place it'd be the dragon's tower. Truly fantastic!

Exactly, a key part of the story is about royals and people in power who don't have to go around worrying about money. The commoners in the story do however and we read about them purchasing goods and such. The reason I think this was brought up originally was because of the chapter on time and money in the Ruin Mist encyclopedia.

Let's get a discussion going about the various creatures RS created for the books and how they are different from the norm. First off, how about a Top 10 favorites list of his creations.

A die-hard LOTR fan whose favorite author is RS!
Why GANDOLFTHEGRAY I believe that's a first from you!
Very cool to hear. RS's work is like that it sneaks up on you and becomes your favorite. I myself have never reread any other series so much especially like when something in the encyclopedia catches my eye and I go I wonder how I missed that in the books. Then I go reread the whole set again and find all the new dots. My latest catch is about Tae and Oshywon. Check out the encyclopedia then reread the books and connect all the dots. It's just layer upon layer of subtle things like that that at tremendous depth you'd never know about if you didn't dig into the encyclopedia or the extras at the back of the books.

Lots of talented people in Hollywood could make them, if they ever stopped making remakes of 20 year old movies.

Thanks Sparhawk, I will check it out! I think I saw there were several already out in the series. I always like it when I get a running start on a new series. That way you don't have to wait too long between books.

I think it looks like Adrina and Xith but I don't remember Xith having the orb. Did he? I thought it was Adrina and Myrial with the orb.
