Tolkien I read because it supposed to be the greatest. Stanek I read because I loved the story line and characters.

Stanek's books are a non stop rollercoaster ride. Many twists and turns and subplots brings out what I would consider to be one of the greatest stories written. One of the best fantasy books I have read

Wasn't going to get into this discussion of Tolkien/Stanek but... There's something special about both obiviously. If Stanek would hurry up and publish the History of Ruin Mist books, I think so many more people would understand how deep and vast his fantasy world is. In the RS bio or somewhere I read the history runs 2500+ pages.

Especially if he wrote about the blood wars.

Have you read through Ruin Mist Heroes and Legends? There's so much history in it, and the deluxe RMC books have this in them too. There's a lot on the blood wars, titans, and the dark elves.

It clears a lot of things up. Plus: King's Mate rules!

It is cool, but there's supposed to be an encyclopedia of ruin mist coming out too. Or an illustrated guide to ruin mist. Something like it but better.

The Deluxe Ruin Mist Chronicles INCLUDE the encyclopedia or parts of it.

Everything about Ruin Mist is incredible. I hope there is an illustrated encyclopedia or such but the only thing I heard about is the illustrated kingdoms and the elves #1 coming out. Looks good.
